I have raised parrots for 20 years and was inspired to name my jewelry company after the two cockatoos, Boomer and Dutchess, that I own. Every day, I am amazed by their beauty and complexity. Living with them causes me to see things as a child might, taking the time to slow down and see things in a different light. It is this reflection on nature that helps inspire me as I create my jewelry. I am amazed every time I take a stone, a piece of nature, and present its beauty and brilliance in a piece of jewelry. The materials in each piece are designed to highlight their natural beauty, just as a piece of jewelry should be worn to enhance the natural beauty of the person wearing it.
